Winter Fun in the "Fall"

So, Winter doesn't officially start until Sunday...
We have never been out of school for more than two days.
We read online at 10:30 that it is official. No school.
I have done all I can to entertain this bunch, and Christmas
break was supposed to start today after school.
The house has never been more decked out for Christmas.
My parents were supposed to be here today, but they are stuck in
Las Vegas. We have been dipping chocolates and making candy and cookies all week.
Hopefully someone other than me will eat it. augh!

Pumpkin Patch

We had such a good time at the pumpkin patch. The kids loved going through the grass maze. Somehow going through a grass maze is not nearly as creepy as a corn maze...
The fall views were beautiful. Matched only by the fascination of the children of simple things like straw and grain in an open "Grain Box."
The kids loved racing to the top of the straw bail slide.

Foster Lake

We had the great fortune of spending the weekend with the Kantola Family. It was so great to have kids our boy's ages for them to hang out with. They went rafting and fishing and all sorts of bike rides as well as general camping fun. It rained a good portion of the weekend but we had plenty of activities inside. Kristy was well prepared with games and we ate like royalty. When the rain did stop Greg was quick to take the boys fishing. We were lucky enough to have a fire on the last night. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. It was as much fun as we have ever had in our Motor Home.
